Summer signing for Tottenham A number of posts by Manor Solomon on his Instagram account regarding the ongoing crisis between Israel and Palestine have caused controversy.

Just days after Israel had threatened to destroy the hospitals, the world was startled yesterday night when over 500 innocent civilians—mostly women, children, and doctors—were killed in a bombing of a Palestinian hospital.

However, Solomon’s tweet has generated a lot of controversy because he blamed Israel and accused Hamas of bombing its own people.

He uploaded a photo of the explosion along with a statement from the Israeli military implying that the explosion at the Al Ahli hospital was the result of a Palestinian resistance group’s botched rocket launch.

He followed it with several more posts, with him being quite vocal of his support with the Israeli regime.

This triggered fans to quickly point out the hypocrisy since several Muslim players have so far been suspended by their respective clubs for their support of the Palestinian people against the aggression.

One fan posted on X calling for Spurs to drop the player from the squad.

A number of other people brought attention to the disparity in treatment between players who favor Israel and those who support Palestine when it comes to the responses to their postings.

Anwar El Ghazi, a former player for Everton and Aston Villa, is the most recent player to face a suspension following an Instagram post endorsing Palestine.

In a similar vein, Bayern Munich released a statement denouncing player Noussair Mazraoui’s pro-Palestinian post and requesting an inquiry into it.

TBH Stated:

Numerous innocent people have died in the fight thus far. How many more deaths are necessary? Let us hope that humanity triumphs and there is world peace!
