A failed takeover abroad may be set to help Tottenham Hotspur as investors try to ensure the club’s future.

Tottenham Hotspur may soon rank among the wealthiest soccer organizations in the world.

An increase in funding off the field could improve Tottenham Hotspur’s predicament even though things are improving on it for Ange Postecoglou and his newly built sides.

Tottenham Hotspur, currently ranked ninth in the world by Forbes, is supposedly about to get a massive cash offer from Qatar, and it’s all because of the Glazers.

After pulling his offer to purchase 100% of Manchester United last week, Sheikh Jassim may be about to rekindle Qatar’s interest in investing in Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Mirror.

Now that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos is prepared to buy a 25% share in the Red Devils, Qatar has returned its focus to Tottenham. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG and the head of Qatar Sports Investments, allegedly had a meeting with Daniel Levy, the executive chairman of Tottenham, in January of this year.

Al-Khelaifi then participated in Sheikh Jassim’s envisioned acquisition of Manchester United after the two sides were unable to reach an agreement on a minority interest. Sheikh Jassim sought the president of PSG’s opinion over the club’s valuation, and he is now able to do the same for Spurs.

According to the source, Sheikh Jassim would head a group that wants to fully buy Tottenham Hotspur, similar to how QSI owns 100% of PSG.

Though Sheikh Jassim is not directly involved in Al-Khelaifi’s endeavors, QSI is a division of Qatar Investment Authority, the country of Qatar’s government-run sovereign wealth fund. However, there would be obvious common interests between the two.

Regardless, Sheikh Jassim has the resources to fund a project at a team as well-known as Spurs, as seen by his $5 billion bid to purchase Manchester United.
