Tottenham cruised to a pre-season win against QPR today as they continued their preparation for the new Premier League season.

Spurs produced a dominant display really and scored in either half to ensure they picked up a morale boosting win.

There was some potentially damaging news involving Lucas Bergvall, who went off injured.

However, Ange Postecoglou has suggested the injury to Bergvall is only minor, in what will be a relief to the Tottenham faithful.

For Tottenham, the likes of Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear got minutes once more and impressed, while there was also a fine individual goal from midfielder, Yves Bissouma.

And speaking of Bissouma, he delivered a masterclass in how to play central midfield despite playing just the opening 45 minutes at Loftus Road.

Yves Bissouma oozes class for Tottenham as they beat QPR

Bissouma has had an up and down time of things at Tottenham since completing a £25m move from Brighton back in 2022. Bissouma is clearly someone who Postecoglou rates highly and at times last season he looked superb in the middle of the park.

But, a number of red cards, and the AFCON, ensured he missed game time and that cost him over the course of the campaign.

However, today at QPR, Bissouma reminded everyone just what he can bring to the table with a classy display.

In stats shared by the popular X account, Spurs Express, Bissouma’s brilliance is clearly on display.

The midfielder completed 24 from 25 passes, three from three in terms of successful dribbles, while he also battled hard and won 80% of his duels.

He made three key passes in the final third to create chances, while his goal was the icing on the cake of a brilliant performance overall.

Tottenham fans, then, will be hoping this is a sign of things to come from Bissouma.
