Richarlison’s injury will keep Tottenham from playing at home against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

To help him regain his full sharpness, Richarlison has been used as a substitute in Tottenham’s last three league games.

To speed up his recuperation from a knee injury, the attacker will now get time off, according to talkSPORT.

With a game remaining, Tottenham is currently two points behind Aston Villa in fourth place in the Premier League.

With 10 goals in 25 Premier League games this season, Richarlison has contributed significantly.

Tottenham will be without Richarlison due to injury for their game against Nottingham Forest

While Richarlison will be unavailable against Forest, Tottenham will be able to call upon Brennan Johnson.

Johnson went off in the closing stages of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with West Ham and was subsequently seen with bandaging around his knee.

However, Postecoglou stressed that Johnson, who found the net against the Hammers, will be fit to face his former club Forest.

Postecoglou said: ‘Brennan is fine. There’s no problem.

‘The only one is Richy. He’s had a bit of a niggle with his knee these last few weeks. We figured it is kind of best he takes this weekend off and gets ready for Newcastle next.’

Having won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three Premier League games, Tottenham will be looking for greater consistency in the closing stages of the campaign.
