Tennessee’s NASHVILLE (AP) – Three new coaches have been hired by Tennessee; Brian Callahan, the team’s inaugural head coach, brought Colt Anderson, a former Cincinnati teammate, to serve as the team’s new special teams coordinator.

On Tuesday, the Titans also announced the addition of Steve Donatell as a defensive assistant and Scott Fuchs as an assistant offensive line coach.

For the previous four seasons, Anderson served as Callahan’s assistant special teams coach in Cincinnati. In 2023, the Bengals were eighth in punt return average allowed, second in restricting opponents to 17 yards on kickoff returns, and tenth in average 10.2 yards per punt return.

Beginning in 2009, he played nine seasons in the NFL with Minnesota, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and Buffalo. After signing as a free agent, he participated in 84 games. Anderson enrolled as a walk-on at Montana State University.

After 29 of his 30 years as an offensive line coach in college, Fuchs will be making his NFL debut.

In addition to coaching at Buffalo, Wyoming, and his alma mater, North Dakota State, he has spent the last three seasons at Kansas. During his tenure, he has won three national titles. Grand Valley State, Nebraska-Omaha, Minnesota-Crookston, Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Valley City State, and Southern Illinois are among the other sites.

Donatell performed the same duties with Miami, which concluded 2023 with a 12-game winning streak. In 2022, he began his NFL coaching career as a defensive quality control coach, working under his father Ed, who was the defensive coordinator for Minnesota at the time.

After working for three seasons as a defensive quality control analyst at Stanford, he began his coaching career in 2018 at Chattanooga.
