Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Radu Dragusin earlier this month.

The Premier League team paid €25 million for the 21-year-old Romanian defender, but predictions are that he will grow into a player worth €100 million (£85 million) in the next few seasons.

The former Romanian league president, Dumitru Dragomir, thinks the Tottenham defender has what it takes to become a superstar in the future, but he needs to start frequently to reach his full potential.

“If he’s a starter, he’ll sell for €100m two years. If he starts! I was reading that the English were angry with Manea (Dragusin’s talkative agent). He gave him positive publicity, it’s not negative,” said Dragomir to Fanatik.

Dragusin is undoubtedly talented enough to succeed in the Premier division as well. He had established himself as a vital member of Genoa’s squad in the Italian division. He’ll want to prove himself as a dependable Premier League defender by maintaining a starting position on a regular basis at his new team.

The Romanian should prove to be a good, long-term addition for Tottenham, who need defensive depth and quality in their lineup. With coaching and experience, Dragusin is probably going to get better, thus it wouldn’t be shocking if his value skyrocketed in the upcoming seasons.

In the hopes that he can continue to improve and become a valuable member of the team, the Londoners will want to hang onto him for the long run.

The teenage defender will need to swiftly adjust to the intensity of the Premier League despite possessing the physical and technical qualities necessary to succeed in English football.
