Eberechi Eze, a star for Crystal Palace, is said to have given the go-ahead for a transfer to Manchester United, although there is “doubt” that they will “satisfy” the Eagles’ request for £77 million.

In recent years, Eze has drawn the attention of several major Premier League teams. The most recent linkages were to Manchester City, but they seemed to be shattered when the Englishman signed a new contract at Selhurst Park in the latter part of 2023.

But according to Fichajes, Manchester United, City’s local rival, has added the star to their shortlist due to his consistent play this season, following 10 goals and four assists in the Premier League the previous season.

The report states that the Red Devils ‘will make an attempt’ to sign Eze at around £60million.

It’s also stated that Eze ‘gave the green light’ to United, despite the ‘doubt’ of Erik ten Hag’s side’ satisfying the wishes’ of Palace, as they want ‘no less than’ £77million for their star.

Eberechi Eze, Manchester United

It’s suggested United might ‘give up his signing’ but Eze is determined to ‘offer great individual performance’ with the ‘firm objective of continuing to attract the attention’ of the Premier League giants until the summer.

At Old Trafford, Eze is not the only Palace player being watched. It is said that United is trying to get Michael Olise in a trade deal that would send Aaron Wan-Bissaka packing to rejoin his old team.

It is unclear if United signing one of the Palace players would lead to the other coming, but considering how well-liked both players are at Selhurst Park, it is understandable why they would be eager to work together for United.

According to recent reports, Olise would “very much prefer” to play for Arsenal than United, but Ten Hag will be hoping that Eze can be talked out of the Emirates if he decides to go to Old Trafford.
