Fashion Sakala Jnr of Rangers celebrates his goal with his team mates during the Scottish Premiership match at Fir Park, Motherwell.

Prior to the end of the month, he hopes to finalize an Ibrox exit.

According to a recent report, a “fantastic” Rangers star now wants to leave Ibrox before the January transfer window closes.

The Gers have been connected to a wide range of players this month as Philippe Clement attempts to finalize potential trade deals before the season ends.

The left-back position appears to be a major priority for teams in recent weeks, maybe due to the fact that Borna Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz have both been tipped to finish their moves away from Ibrox in 2024. Many individuals have surfaced as potential additions to Clement’s defense on the left side. One such player is Owen Beck, a young player from Liverpool who enjoyed a loan spell at Dundee earlier in the season and has experience in the Scottish Premiership.

The 21-year-old is by no means Rangers’ only possible target, though, as Josh Doig of Hellas Verona and left-back Cameron Pring of Bristol City are both viable choices to enter and improve matters, though the latter is close to moving to Sassuolo.

The Gers are reportedly considering a number of areas, including attack, where Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland is thought to be wanted following an outstanding season in Scotland.

As his tenure at Rangers looks certain to expire in the upcoming weeks, a significant exit rumor has surfaced surrounding one individual.

While Josh Doig of Hellas Verona and left-back Cameron Pring of Bristol City are potentially viable candidates for Rangers to add to their roster, the latter is on the verge of joining Sassuolo, the 21-year-old is by far their only viable target.

Now, a key exit rumour has emerged at Rangers regarding one figure, as his time at the club threatens to come to an end in the coming weeks.

Ridvan Yilmaz wants Rangers exit

According to journalist Burhan Can Terzi [via Ibrox News], Ridvan Yilmaz is looking to leave Rangers in January, as he “really wants to come to Galatasaray.”

It appears highly probable that the 22-year-old will seek a new challenge before the month concludes, given numerous reports linking him away from Rangers. While he might feel the need for a fresh start, his age and long-term potential make his potential departure disappointing. Praised as “fantastic” and “superb” by This Is Ibrox podcast, there is a preference for him to stay.

In the event Yilmaz departs, Clement must carefully consider the best replacement. Whether it’s the youthful promise of Beck on loan or a more seasoned player like Pring, aged 25, with English football experience, the right choice is crucial.

Additionally, there’s the possibility of Barisic leaving, in which case Rangers may need to secure a couple of new faces at left-back to maintain a strong lineup for the title race.

Losing two established players in the same position could be a concern, though, threatening to disrupt the rhythm in Clement’s squad, so the hope could be that Barisic remains at Ibrox until at least the end of the season.
