Only Pep Guardiola’s daring Man City team has scored more goals than the Villains, who are playing some of the greatest football in years.

Even though they haven’t done much in the way of transfers this window, it looks like a chance has arisen.

Felipe Anderson, the West Ham failure, is someone the Midlands-based team is interested in getting back to the Premier League, according to Calciomercato (h/t Fichajes).

With 454 career appearances (transfermarkt), the 30-year-old undoubtedly has the experience to fit right in at Villa Park, but supporters will understandably be concerned about the club considering a player who only achieved 12 goals in 73 West Ham games (transfermarkt).

Nevertheless, Emery has gained the supporters’ trust, and at this stage, their judgment must be respected.

Although Anderson has no problem staying at his current club, Lazio, Villa may be able to take advantage of his contract impasse.
