Three days after Luton Town was pushed to a replay in the FA Cup, Burnley’s next matchup has been moved up against them.

On Monday, January 15, Vincent Kompany’s team was originally scheduled to play their relegation opponents at Turf Moor.

However, following Bolton Wanderers’ 0-0 draw with Luton in their FA Cup third round match, the Hatters will now have to play a replay on Tuesday, January 16, or Wednesday, January 17.

Consequently, the league match between Burnley and Rob Edwards’ team, which is scheduled to air on TNT Sports, has been moved up to Friday, January 12.

“Our Premier League match against Luton Town at Turf Moor will now take place on Friday, January 12 (19:45) instead of the originally scheduled Monday, January 15,” the Clarets announced in a statement.

The Hatters’ 0-0 draw with Bolton Wanderers in the Emirates FA Cup third round necessitated a rematch date of either Tuesday, January 16, or Wednesday, January 17. That’s why this has been moved.

“TNT Sports will continue to air the game live.”

After beating Luton 2-1 at Kenilworth Road earlier in the season, Burnley will be trying to win both games.

Given that both teams are currently mired in the bottom three of the Premier League, it looks to be an exciting matchup.

Given that Luton is four points ahead of the Clarets with a game remaining, winning is absolutely imperative.
