The West Ham board decided on Angelo Ogbonna.

Angelo Ogbonna joined West Ham from Juventus in the summer of 2015, and he is been a terrific servant for us, but recent sources say that David Moyes is looking for a successor for the soon-to-be out of contract 35-year-old.

The West Ham centre-back has come into the lineup for the last two games and has performed admirably in our 2-0 win over Arsenal and 0-0 draw with Brighton.

Oggy appeared to have lost his legs earlier in the season, and his performance away at Liverpool last month was truly dreadful.

The prevailing view was that the former Juventus man had reached the end of his career as a player at the highest level of the game.

However, he has definitely turned things around, and it seems as though he now could be handed a shiny new deal by the club…

West Ham could make big Angelo Ogbonna decision

It appears that the Italian will remain at the London Stadium beyond the end of the season.

According to club insiders Claret & Hugh, the 35-year-old has impressed the Hammers hierarchy in recent weeks and could be rewarded with a new contract.

Ogbonna is certainly someone who is valuable to have in the locker room.

Despite his advanced age and lack of speed, he has a wealth of knowledge and serves as a true on-field leader for us.

What the Italian lacks in speed, he makes up for with intelligence, anticipation, and positional awareness.

And if Angelo Ogbonna signs a new contract with West Ham for another year, I will be really satisfied. He is a big character, and retaining his experience and clout at the London Stadium for another year would be a huge advantage.
