Serhou Guirassy has been widely connected with Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks, and talk is heating up ahead of the January transfer window.

Spurs’ assault is now well-stocked, despite the fact that they did not bring in a like-for-like replacement for Harry Kane. Both Richarlison and Son Heung-min are in excellent form.

However, there is always the possibility of bringing in reinforcements. Tottenham appears to be interested in the player who is now second in the Bundesliga goal-scoring list to Kane.

At the same time, Spurs will face stiff competition for Guirassy from other prominent European clubs, especially AC Milan.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the San Siro giants are interested in signing the Stuttgart star, but will face ‘increasingly strong opposition’ from Tottenham.

Guirassy, who has scored 19 goals this season, is reportedly seeking a salary of €5 million a year for four and a half years, which would take him until the summer of 2028.

According to the study, this may be too much for Milan. This works out to about £85,000 per week, making him Spurs’ 16th best paid player.
According to an earlier rumor from Italy, Guirassy was looking for roughly £67,000 per week. Despite the larger amount in this newest estimate, it is still not excessively expensive for Tottenham.

Furthermore, the 27-year-old is said to have a £15 million release clause. This would not be prohibitively expensive for a club like Tottenham Hotspur.

Serhou Guirassy a relatively inexpensive gamble for Tottenham Hotspur

Guirassy appears to be a good option for Tottenham, especially in the January transfer window. He is talented, prolific, and in his prime years. He can be acquired by triggering a minor release clause, and his pay demands should be easy to match for Spurs.

To be sure, there is always the possibility that Guirassy may need time to adjust to life in the Premier League, or that his current run will be a fluke.

Furthermore, would Guirassy join as a backup to Son and Richarlison? Milan may be able to provide him with more regular starts. If he is content with being a backup at Tottenham, then Spurs may as well sign him for £15 million.
