Big strides and opportunity for improvement – Blackburn Rovers’ season winners and losers so far

After five matchdays, it’s time to reflect on the season’s start and rank the squad’s biggest winners and losers.

The Blackburn Rovers skipper has re-established himself as a crucial cog in the midfield after a challenging summer. On the final day, the captain was taken out at half-time against Millwall, and a following bid from the Lions fueled concerns over his long-term future.

Travis has started all five of Rovers’ Championship games and has performed admirably. He’s made tackles, won second balls, and demonstrated good intensity in the right channel.

Although he had always been a first-choice pick at Rovers, this was the first time he had been questioned. He responded to them in the first month of the season.

Rovers’ main concern has been where the goals will come from now that Ben Brereton Diaz has left. Szmodics, take the stage.
