It has been suggested that Tottenham, under the direction of director Johan Lange and manager Ange Postecoglou, may spend £40 million in 2024 to acquire a top player from Barcelona.Spurs are severely lacking in a few crucial areas, as evidenced by the numerous injuries that have recently plagued their roster. The two are not expected to play again until 2024: center back Micky van de Ven and playmaker James Maddison are both out. Due to Cristian Romero’s suspension and the latter star’s absence, Postecoglou has limited defensive choices at the moment, thus Spurs are looking for a new left-sided center-back to cover him.Though a new defender isn’t the only thing on Postecoglou’s agenda, it is widely expected Tottenham may try again to sign Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth after seeing bids rejected on the summer deadline day.

The Australian appears eager to add another wide attacker, particularly in light of Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, and Manor Solomon’s ailments. Juve winger Samuel Iling-Junior is a target for Tottenham, among other teams, since Bryan Gil, Brennan Johnson, and Dejan Kulusevski are presently Spurs’ main options out wide after Son Heung-min was shifted to a more central striker role.

Another player to be listed as a transfer target is Raphinha, and Football Insider has just released an encouraging update on the situation.Journalist Pete O’Rourke of the publication claims that Barcelona might sell Raphinha to Spurs for as little as £40 million in the summer. As the La Liga winners try to earn money for their own recruits, Xavi’s team may accept a lowball offer for the Tottenham target after declaring him available for sale the next year. They need to sell first and make sure they have adequate money for such an endeavor before they can sign Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo to long-term contracts. Tottenham may benefit from Barcelona’s surplus if Raphinha is sold for £40 million. Before moving to Camp Nou, the Brazilian was a standout at Leeds, where his former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood hailed him as “phenomenal”. He remarked

“I can’t look away from him. The game is under his authority. What an amazing athlete. His goal-scoring touch was superb. Beautifully, he tucks that aside. What a great Leeds player.

Observing the 26-year-old’s “unbelievable” form at Leeds, analyst Paddy Kenny once called on Liverpool to move on the player.

Kenny told Football Insider, “He would be a great signing for Liverpool.”

“Over the past 12 months or so, he has demonstrated his abilities to the globe. He’s the guy to target if the moment ever comes when Liverpool is getting ready to live without Salah. He possesses the quality and has shown in the Premier League that he can succeed there.

“He has been fantastic for Leeds, and his absence has been greatly felt.” He would undoubtedly be receptive to that move as well. Hear me out: right now, you don’t turn Liverpool down. Turning aside the chance to play for Klopp at Anfield is a huge one.

“I hope he stays at Leeds for a little while longer, but if Liverpool calls,”
