Instead, the Hammers are reportedly mulling a move for Timo Werner, a former attacker for Chelsea who may be available on a short-term contract, according to TeamTALK.After returning to RB Leipzig a little more than a year ago, Werner is once more having difficulty finding first team action in Germany.
After consistently losing his spot in the starting lineup under then-manager Thomas Tuchel, he left Chelsea.
Werner soon outgrew the team as a multitude of attacking talent, including Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, joined.
