The Spurs haven’t had a good few days, have they? They lost James Maddison and Micky van de Ven to injuries after losing to Chelsea on Monday, and Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie are both on suspension. But Porro ought to be able to play in today’s matchup versus Wolves.
Pedro Porro hints he is ready to play for Tottenham vs Wolves
The fact that Ange Postecoglou will be missing Maddison, Udogie, Romero, and Van de Ven has caused Tottenham supporters to be extremely anxious about today’s match against Wolves.
The last thing that Spurs fans needed to hear was that another player was absent, and there were rumors circulating that Pedro Porro might not play.
Concerns were raised yesterday over whether Porro is hurt when Martin Lipton reported on Off The Ball that he had skipped training after the Chelsea match.
But Porro is alright, according to Ange Postecoglou’s confirmation yesterday; he has been training all week.
Porro has now taken to social media to indicate that he will be in the squad for today’s match against Wolves, which may be a signal about his availability for the match.
He tweeted, “See you tomorrow,” along with a photo of himself and the Wolves vs. Tottenham game’s date, time, and location.
Porro has been great for Tottenham
This year, Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon was acquired by Tottenham for a reported £40 million (The Athletic).
The Spaniard’s life in North London did not get off to the best of starts. He was heavily criticized for his struggles in the second half of the previous season under Antonio Conte.
But Porro has been outstanding for Tottenham this season. Because of his colleagues’ success, some of his accomplishments have gone unnoticed, but he still deserves a great deal of credit for his work thus far.
Fortunately for Tottenham supporters, it appears like he is available for selection for today’s noon match against Wolves.
