The social media crew at Leeds United has playfully replied to the official Twitter account of the Sky Bet Championship, offering a humorous reaction to Glen Kamara’s absence from the Team of the Week.

In response to Glen Kamara’s omission from the Team of the Week, the official Leeds United Twitter account shared a video clip of Kamara’s post-match interview with Georginio Rutter, accompanied by just the eyes emoji.

Leeds delivered one of the standout performances of the Championship season on Friday, ending Leicester City’s nine-match winning streak with a 1-0 away victory. Georginio Rutter’s 58th-minute goal proved to be the decisive factor in the match, although it was Glen Kamara’s remarkable performance that garnered widespread acclaim.

Sky Sports recognized Kamara’s outstanding midfield display by awarding him the Man of the Match accolade, which was arguably his best performance since joining Leeds from Rangers in August.

In a match that saw considerable attention given to players like Harry Winks, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Ethan Ampadu, Kamara managed to outshine them all, particularly during the first half. His ability to maintain possession under pressure was instrumental in Leeds’ victory, whether through his physical presence or skillful dribbling, which left Leicester struggling to contain him.

Despite the fact that Team of the Week selections are determined by WhoScored ratings, it is surprising that not a single Leeds player made the cut, given the quality of the opposition. In fact, Leicester had more players represented in the team, with right-winger Abdul Fatawu earning a spot after an impressive first-half performance.

Nonetheless, Leeds is unlikely to be overly concerned with such accolades and will already be focusing on their upcoming match against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
