Following Villa’s 6-0 loss to Chelsea in the Women’s Super League, Carla Ward acknowledged that her job might be in jeopardy.

The string of five consecutive defeats has placed Ward’s team at the bottom of the league table this season. With this poor start, Ward acknowledges that her position as Aston Villa’s manager could be in jeopardy. She expressed the harsh realities of football, where one’s job is only a few games away from being on the line due to the constant demand for results.

“It’s a results-driven business. I give my all to the players, and they give their all to me,” she emphasized. Ward remains committed to putting forth her best efforts while she is still in charge, but she understands that the ultimate decision lies with the board.
