Chris Hughton has now discussed his opinions on Yves Bissouma’s development at Tottenham Hotspur this season under Ange Postecoglou.

In an exclusive conversation with London World, Hughton brought up the time he hired Bissouma to lead Brighton & Hove Albion.

Prior to moving, Bissouma was a player for LOSC Lille, and Hughton was certain that he would be a great addition in England.

And now that Postecoglou has joined Tottenham, Hughton believes Bissouma is playing some of his best football of all time.

Hughton stated: “We knew he would be a huge asset for us when we brought him to Brighton.”

That much was evident, but when players arrive from overseas, you never know when they will be able to get going, and once he did, it was obvious he was destined for greatness.

“He’s playing the best football of his career, and he’s doing it in a team and under a manager who may fit his playing style.”

It’s difficult to disagree with those ideas, for sure.

Hughton thinks Bissouma is the perfect fit for Postecoglou’s Tottenham

Naturally, Bissouma will get another opportunity to show off his skills when Chelsea visits North London this evening.

In addition to the possibility of Spurs winning the league again, Mauricio Pochettino’s return to North London is a minor concern.

And despite the fact that he would probably receive a cold greeting tonight, Pochettino did not completely abandon Spurs.

According to a report published today, Pochettino turned down Arsenal in 2019 not long after Tottenham fired him.

After all of these shenanigans, Yves Bissouma joined the team, although he could have been a player who flourished under Poch.

But Postecoglou’s approach has been reviving Bissouma’s career at Tottenham, and Hughton obviously believes there’s plenty more success ahead.

While £25 million Bissouma is very set to start tonight, Destiny Udogie’s status is a little less definite.

Due to injury, the full-back is doubtful, although he might have posted a mysterious hint suggesting he was involved.
