According to Football Insider, Bournemouth and Wolves of the Premier League are in negotiations to sign Che Adams from Southampton. Everton and Crystal Palace are also reportedly still interested.

Before tonight’s 11 p.m. transfer deadline, Adams appears to be on the move from Southampton.

The Scot has drawn interest from the Premier League all summer, and he has also had a strong start to the 2023–24 Championship campaign for Southampton, scoring three goals in as many games.

Last night, talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook stated that Southampton have lined up Ross Stewart as a substitute while Wolves are pushing to sign Adams in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

Wolves and Bournemouth are reportedly in talks to sign Adams today, and Crystal Palace and Everton are still interested, according to Football Insider.

Adams’ departure

With Southampton, Adams demonstrated his Premier League pedigree, so it’s not surprising that there was such a flurry of interest in him on the deadline day.

The two teams that appear to be most interested are Bournemouth and Wolves, with the latter perhaps more so in light of Crook’s supplementary report from last night.

However, teams like Everton in particular might become frantic in the last hours of today’s window and give Southampton some cash in an effort to sign Adams.

Palace can’t be written off, as the Eagles appear to be desperately looking for a new striker as well.

Adams appears to be on the move today, especially as Southampton appears poised to buy Stewart from Sunderland. Where Adams ends up is yet unknown.
