According to Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke, midfielder Scott High of Huddersfield Town has reached an agreement to join SPFL team Ross County before today’s deadline.

After reaching an agreement on a deal to bring the midfielder north of the border, the 22-year-old is about to have a physical with the Scottish club.

Scott High: Who is he?

The Huddersfield Town academy produced the midfielder, who has previously enjoyed productive loan stints with teams like Shrewsbury Town, Rotherham United, and Concord Rangers.

Despite having 50 appearances for Huddersfield, the former Scotland U21 international has just played once this year and has been absent from the team for all four of their league games.

Terriers’ start has not been good.

Huddersfield Town, currently ranked 23rd in the Championship, has only earned one point from its first four league games this year. They only earned one point, which was a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

It is urgent for Neil Warnock’s team to improve as they have only scored two league goals all season, one of which was an own goal by Middlesbrough’s Dael Fry.

Ross County, who have only won one of their first three league games, go to Kilmarnock on Saturday in an effort to bounce back from their 2-0 setback to Rangers the previous weekend.

What was said?

Pete O’Rourke has said that an agreement has been reached between Huddersfield and Ross County, but he hasn’t said if it’s a permanent arrangement or a loan.

Author’s Opinion

Despite his side’s terrible start and despite his considerable promise with Huddersfield, Scott High was always expected to be sent out on loan if he wasn’t chosen.

We’ll have to wait to find out what Neil Warnock has in store for his team before assuming that Huddersfield receives a fee that might be utilized to sign another player before the deadline of 11 p.m.
