One of his teammates, who is a perfect fit for Nottingham Forest, has received high appreciation from Morgan Gibbs-White.

With three games left, the Reds are still fighting for their survival at the basement of the Premier League.

On Saturday, Forest travels to Sheffield United; they also have matches coming up against Chelsea and Burnley.

The Reds are now just one point above the relegation zone in the top league after failing to defeat Manchester City on Sunday at the City Ground.

Gibbs-White has praised a teammate ahead of Saturday’s pivotal match after the player achieved a historic number of appearances over the weekend.

What Morgan Gibbs-White has said about ‘perfect’ teammate

Well, the 24-year-old has been in fine form this season with six goals and seven assists from 39 appearances for Forest.

However, he’s reserved some praise for a teammate of his who he feels was destined to play for Forest.

Against Manchester City on Sunday, Ryan Yates became the Reds’ 200th player to reach the century.

His teammates have now responded, with Gibbs-White praising the academy graduate in particular.

Gibbs-White stated on the Forest YouTube channel: “You always want someone like him on your squad.

“You know exactly what to expect from Yatesy from the first minute on, and he’s the ideal teammate to have by your side when you’re getting into a fight.”

Gibbs-White is right about Yates but he’s not a starter right now

In an attempt to counter City, Nuno Espirito Santo made some adjustments on Sunday, opting to deploy a three-man defensive unit.

Yates was relegated to the bench as a result, while Gibbs-White moved into central midfield.

Although some supporters find the thought of a Forest eleven without Yates offensive, it seemed to function admirably on Sunday.

Even though Forest was unable to win, they may have collected some points if Chris Wood had taken his opportunities.

There must be space for a Yates in the Forest squad for each Gibbs-White that is selected.

Players like Gibbs-White are able to execute their most inventive plays because of his defensive presence. Thus, when the season comes to an end, it will be intriguing to watch if Yates regains his spot.

Yates appears to be leading the assault for Espirito Santo, and with him in the trenches with them, everyone seems to want Forest to start winning games.
