The first person who undoubtedly comes to mind when thinking of a Tottenham player who could match the skill of the Manchester City star is James Maddison, but think again!
According to Premier League Productions (18/03/24 at 5:50 pm), Leroy Rosenior believes Dejan Kulusevski will eventually go up to number 10 for Ange Postecoglou’s team and be just as excellent as the Treble champion.
Spurs wide players, such as Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson, are renowned for their quickness and ability to change directions quickly enough to break opponents’ ankles.
However, instead of using his acceleration to go past a player, their left-footed Swede depends on close control, a keen footballing sense, sound decision-making, and excellent technique.
Leroy Rosenior believes he will no longer be able to play the flanks because Dejan Kulusevski has everything he needs in his locker. He can already see him shifting inside.
“The great players just seem to hold in areas for long periods of time and don’t neutralise their own space.
“He is only 23. You mentioned de Bruyne. Could he be that good? I don’t see why not.”

Before the 23-year-old can think about moving anywhere, he has to make sure that he keeps his place in Postecoglou’s XI.

Kulusevski started the game and didn’t impress, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is out of the XI for the home clash against Luton Town after the international break.
Richarlison is back from injury, whilst Brennan Johnson is also an option for the Spurs boss, so forget about playing as a number 10, keep your place in the XI for starters!
