Michael Beale could be the worst manager to take over at Rangers and Sunderland, according to Chris Sutton.

The English head coach, who had led the team for just 12 games, was fired by the EFL Championship team on February 19.

It was his second dismissal of the season—and it’s just February—when he was abruptly fired at Ibrox, just before assuming the post at the Stadium of Light.

Sutton posted on Twitter, saying, “I’m sorry to see Mick Beale go. He might go down as the worst manager in Rangers’ history and for Sunderland’s history, all in the same season.

Is Beale truly the worst manager to have managed Sunderland and Rangers ever?

Arriving at Ibrox with much style, Beale was well accepted and mistakenly thought to be the driving force behind Steven Gerrard’s success at the club.

But as this video demonstrates, he wasn’t exactly as well-liked when he was the head coach, so it’s not surprising that supporters of both teams immediately turned against him.

While both clubs have had terrible managers in the past, Sutton’s statement is justified considering Beale’s failure to make a positive impact during his time at both Sunderland and Rangers, ultimately leading to his dismissal from both clubs.

What he now needs to do is take a break and reflect on his managerial skills and see where things have gone wrong for him.

A lot of managers tend to shadow experienced head coaches and pick up a few tricks and tips from them.

Eddie Howe, who’s now in charge of Newcastle, did that with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone and it’s helped him significantly.
