Rob McElhenney, Wrexham’s co-owner, has hinted that he and Ryan Reynolds may visit the away end with Wrexham fans someday.

After Alan Shearer visited the away end at the Craven Cottage with Newcastle United fans during the Magpies’ 2-0 win over Fulham, a Wrexham fan tagged McElhenney, Reynolds and Wrexham CEO, Humphrey Ker on a post o X and asked the three to join the Red Dragons’ fans during an away day for them. McElhenney responded to the post and said that there is “nothing I want more”.

In his post answer on X, the Hollywood star stated, “There is nothing I want more than to play a game in the end. “I think about it all the time.”

Since the two Hollywood stars’ mega takeover in 2020, the Welsh club’s game viewership and sponsorship have increased dramatically. They received automatic promotion from the National League last season after a record-breaking season. This season, they lie second in the league, five points behind Stockport County; the two teams will most likely compete until the end of the season for automatic promotion to League One.

After being eliminated in the fourth round last season, the Red Dragons will be seeking to improve their FA Cup performance this season. They will face Blackburn Rovers in the fourth round of the FA Cup tomorrow, January 29.
