One of the top NFL quarterbacks available is still Mike Vrabel. Many are therefore perplexed as to why the Tennessee Titans haven’t attempted to move him.
Strunk appeared on 104.5 The Zone to talk about the Titans’ decision to terminate Vrabel, which was announced on Tuesday.
Would he consider trade with Vrabel, he inquired? Strunk stated
“The procedure was overly drawn out. Thus, we gave that some thought.
Strunk added.
“To be honest, we didn’t want to pass up the chance to lose someone we truly wanted and go to the back of the line to get the right director.”
Vrabel may be in high demand. But Strunk is right that closing the deal may take longer. There’s a reason executive-related jobs are rare.

Ultimately, Vrabel could get a draft pick from the Titans, possibly a first-round pick, depending on how big he is in the league. So why didn’t the Titans trade Vrabel like everyone expected?
The problem with marketing is that it takes time. This puts the Titans at risk of losing several head coaching candidates this season.
“I spoke with Mike Vrabel this morning and told him that we have decided on a head coaching change,”
Titans’ owner Amy Adams Strunk said in a statement.
“As I told Coach Vrabel, this decision was as difficult as anything I’ve done as a head coach.”
“I appreciate Mike’s contributions to the Tennessee Titans on and off the field,”
Strunk said, expressing his desire for more integration with the General Director Ran.
“As the NFL continues to innovate and evolve, the teams most poised for continued success are those that embrace coordinated and collaborative teams in all aspects of football,”
said Carthon, who was hired by the team last year to replace Jon Robinson.
“We believe we will be a team that works,”
Strunk said.
“Last year we set out to change our approach to football leadership and change our personnel to move forward with that plan. While we continue to evaluate the state of our team, we came to the decision that the team would benefit from this. New approach and perspective from a new technical staff”.
While the Titans didn’t trade Mike Vrabel, his track record as a head coach makes Vrabel an attractive option for five other franchises with immediate openings.
In a video interview with the team’s internal media, Adams Strunk admitted that she considered trying to trade Vrabel to another team, but there were issues preventing him from pursuing a job.
“Ultimately, given league rules, it could be three weeks,”
Adams Strunk said.
