We covered a claim from Spain earlier this month that Brighton & Hove Albion have already made contact with Sevilla to learn the terms of signing Juanlu Sánchez.

Brighton must be careful of Real Madrid, who have made an approach for the 20-year-old.

According to ABC Sevilla, Brighton is mentioned in a story about the La Liga club’s admiration for the player.

The Spain U21 international has mostly played right defense this season, but he has also played right flank in the past. In his brief career, he has also played as a wing-back and even in midfield on a few occasions.

Los Blancos respect his adaptability and will keep an eye on him in the future. Concerning Brighton, the newspaper reports that they made touch with Sevilla a few weeks ago.

The Seagulls are’very attentive’ to Juanlu Sánchez, according to the source, and have been handling information on his growth since he made his first team debut for Sevilla.
Juanlu Sánchez’s current contract expires in 2025 and has a €25 million release clause in January. According to ABC Sevilla, the clause will be reduced to €15 million following the winter market.
