The Sun claims that a number of Premier League teams, including West Ham, are interested in signing Port Vale prodigy Liam Brazier.

On Thursday, December 28, the newspaper posted an article on its website stating that the League One team is eager to sign the 16-year-old to a professional deal, but that won’t be feasible until he is 17.

The report went on to say that the Valiants will then seek a price of about £750,000 to offload the attacking midfield player, who has been likened to a teenage Jack Grealish.

Plenty of interest

With several teams showing interest in signing Brazier as the January transfer window draws near, it might be challenging for West Ham to complete a deal.

The teenager’s stellar performance for Port Vale’s young teams has reportedly caught the attention of several Premier League clubs and teams throughout Europe, according to The Sun.

In an effort to get more first-team experience, he has also made three appearances for the senior squad in the EFL Trophy this season.

The offensive midfielder, who has been billed as the next Grealish, may end up being a steal for the rumored £750,000 sum.

However, the fact that there hasn’t been a very good route established for young players at the London Stadium to reach the first squad in recent years may turn him off.
