A shocking accusation concerning West Ham striker Tomas Soucek’s contract has emerged, leaving supporters perplexed.

Over the previous year, there has been a lot of speculation concerning Tomas Soucek’s future at West Ham.

Since Declan Rice’s departure, the big Czech fan favorite has looked more like his former self, as he is given more freedom to move forward.

However, the additions of Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse, as well as the fact that Lucas Paqueta is certainly a guaranteed starter, will provide David Moyes with a huge decision very soon.

Especially as the Scot also needs to integrate his new £38 million signing Mohammed Kudus into the Hammers squad.

As a result, and with Soucek’s contract expiring next summer, the midfielder’s long-term future has clearly been scrutinized.

West Ham, on the other hand, appear to be certain of the 28-year-old’s future.

A shocking accusation concerning West Ham star Soucek’s contract has emerged, leaving supporters perplexed.

Sean Whetstone, who has contacts inside the club including West Ham vice-chair Karren Brady and main owner David Sullivan, believes Soucek signed a new FOUR-YEAR contract with the Hammers LAST MONTH

However, for unclear reasons, West Ham has not made it public or formally confirmed it.

Whetstone made the discovery while discussing allegations that the club had re-opened talks with Soucek’s compatriot Vladimir Coufal regarding a new contract.

‘The club has yet to make public or announce the new deal.’
“Reports suggest that talks on a new contract with Vladimir Coufal have resumed,” Whetstone said. “The right back, who turned 31 last month, has a contract until June 2025 after the club activated a one-year option last season.”

“He’ll be almost 33 when his current contract expires, so it’s difficult to see him getting a long-term deal.”

“His Czech teammate, 28-year-old Tomas Soucek, signed a new four-year contract last month, which has yet to be made public or announced by the club.”

When a club signs a significant player to a new long-term contract, they usually want to shout it from the rooftops.

So it’s puzzling that West Ham hasn’t announced Soucek’s new contract.

Perhaps the club is waiting until next week when they publish their squad lists – or until the transfer windows in other leagues close – in case any late bids that are too good to turn down come in, however unlikely that is.
