Cardiff City’s manager was replaced in the summer after the club narrowly avoided relegation.

Sabri Lamouchi eventually guided Cardiff City to Championship safety. Many anticipated him to return for the 2023/24 season, however he quit and was replaced by Turkish coach Erol Bulut.

His team has had a mixed start to the season, with some good and some disastrous performances, with only one league win to their name.

It follows another minor exodus of players in the summer, when many first-team players and a number of youth players left.

Phillips, Dillon
Despite proving himself to be a quality Championship goalkeeper, Dillon Phillips never really got going at Cardiff City. Rotherham United signed him soon after his release.

Tom Sings
Former Manchester United youth player Tom Sang is another who may have underachieved at Cardiff City and is presently playing in League One for Port Vale.

Whatte, Gavin
Gavin Whyte, a Northern Ireland international, was an excellent servant for Cardiff City. But the time came for him to move on, and he ended himself in League One, signing for Portsmouth.

Mr. Connor Wickham
Connor Wickham, an experienced striker, is still available after being released by Cardiff at the end of last season.

Harris, Mark
After Mark Harris’ contract expired, the club continued to negotiate with him. However, he left as a free agent and signed with League One contenders Oxford United, where he has three goals in six league games this season.
