When club football restarts, Leeds United boss Daniel Farke is said to want to try Crysencio Summerville in a different position.

Farke now sees Summerville as a number 10 rather than a winger, according to The Athletic

And the 21-year-old is thought to have only played in the position once in his career.

Summerville has created a reputation for himself on the wing for Leeds after joining their academy in 2021.

The Dutchman switched from his boyhood club Feyenoord to Elland Road.

Summerville’s senior Leeds career began primarily under former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch.

Despite the difficult setting of a relegation battle, the winger adapted excellently to the Premier League.

Summerville did, however, have a chance to stay in the Premier League.

side promoted Burnley made a late £20 million deal for Summerville at the close of the transfer window, but Leeds quickly rejected it.

Farke now wants to play as a number 10 with Summerville at Leeds.
Summerville has yet to make a significant impression under Daniel Farke due to a groin strain suffered early in the season.

However, with the winger now playing consecutive 90-minute stretches, he’ll be looking to rectify that following the international break.

And, as previously said, that may now be in a number ten job.

In Leeds’ previous game, Joel Piroe was used in the position, but Farke is known to like his striker to be farther advanced.

Piroe has a strong scoring record in the Championship, which his new manager does not wish to disrupt.

Regardless, it will undoubtedly be an intriguing experiment for Leeds fans to follow in the coming months.

Farke definitely has huge ideas for Summerville at Leeds, which is understandable considering his immense talent.
