With Adam Barrett taking temporary leadership, John Eustace and Kevin Muscat are predicted to replace Gary Rowett.

Millwall has decided not to expedite the appointment of a new manager following their split from Gary Rowett. After four seasons as the Lions’ manager, Rowett led the team to top-half finishes each time, but they were unable to qualify for the postseason.

Despite having a patchy start to the season, Millwall is now ranked fifteenth in the Championship. Millwall and Rowett felt that their voyage had reached its apogee, and after discussions, they decided to split ways.

For Saturday’s match at Preston, assistant manager Adam Barrett will lead the club. However, Millwall has already received approaches from potential candidates as part of the ongoing hunt for Rowett’s replacement.

Kevin Muscat was top contender for the Ibrox Job before Philippe beat him to it

The current favorite among bookies is Kevin Muscat, a former midfielder for the Lions. After taking over for Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, he led Yokohama F. Marinos to victory in the Japanese top division in the previous season.

Earlier this month, Muscat, who led Millwall to the FA Cup final in 2004, had an interview for the Rangers position, but Philippe Clement was chosen instead. John Eustace, who was fired by Birmingham earlier this month, is also the early favorite.
