David De Gea has been contacted by West Ham on a potential return to the Premier League.

The former Manchester United goalkeeper is reportedly in talks with West Ham about an 18-month contract during the January transfer window, but he is presently considering his alternatives in Spain.

Their present goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski, wishes to leave the London Stadium at this time, while Alphonse Areola has received a substantial offer from an unknown Saudi club.

De Gea left Manchester United when his contract expired. He and the club were negotiating new terms but were unable to reach an agreement, therefore he left the club as a free agent during the summer.

De Gea returned to Manchester

De Gea was spotted during Manchester United Women’s Champions League debut vs Paris Saint-Germain at Leigh Sports Village.

His public visit in the city coincided with requests for Manchester United to re-sign him following the disastrous start of Andre Onana’s Red Devils career. The former Inter man has come under fire for blunders in a number of Manchester United’s games this season, particularly in the Champions League, with some saying that the club’s new keeper has not lived up to De Gea’s shot-stopping skills.

De Gea posted an Instagram story with his feet crossed outside a tennis court, naming Manchester as his location. It is believed that he returned to the city to clean out his residence in Hale, just outside Cheshire’s city limits.
