Everton midfielder James Garner has issued a very bold prediction about his attacking teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin following their win in the Premier League on the weekend.

It was a huge game for Everton as they played fellow relegation battlers Bournemouth. In the end, the Toffees emphatically won 3-0.

The result was much deserved, with James Garner scoring the first goal. Dominic Calvert-Lewin started the match but didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet.

Despite this, manager Sean Dyche will no doubt be happy to see that Calvert-Lewin seems to be fully fit again.

James Garner’s bold prediction on Everton’s Calvert-Lewin

Many who love Everton would have been worried when Calvert-Lewin picked up an injury in the away game at Aston Villa earlier this season. Since his return, the forward has managed to feature in the last four games and has started the last two.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo about Calvert-Lewin, Garner said: “We missed him last season, and it’s a huge confidence boost having him back in the side. He didn’t get his goal, but his all-round performance helped us. I was just speaking to him then.

“He was gutted he didn’t get his goal and gutted he came off because he said he was maybe trying a bit too hard to score. His goals will come. If he keeps on performing, then I think they’ll fly in.”

This bold prediction would see the English striker back to his best and he has shown glimpses of this already so far this season.

In his six appearances so far this season, the ‘fantastic‘ forward has managed three goals. Two were in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup.

He is making a big impact in the first-team squad. With two Premier League goals in his last three games, it is no shock to see Garner make this prediction.
