Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, discussed West Ham prior to their Premier League matchup on Sunday.

This Saturday, West Ham welcomes Newcastle to the London Stadium. Both teams are in excellent shape. In the Premier League standings, West Ham is now one spot and one point ahead of the Magpies in seventh place.

David Moyes, the manager of the Hammers, will be pleased with the season-opening performance of his team. And Howe will be pleased with his team’s ability to recover from a challenging start.

The Toon will not be looking forward to traveling to the London Stadium to play us in what should be a thrilling match tomorrow. Howe acknowledged one Hammer in particular while speaking to the media, saying, “We’re a proper outfit now.” The manager was interviewed on what he thinks about the West hammers and he had this to say;

“They’re an obvious threat from set-plays with James Ward-Prowse’s delivery and everything that he brings so that’s why, for us, it’s a case of refocussing and not being too distracted or affected anyway by the performance on Wednesday.”

James has scored most Free kicks in the PL so far

Since transferring from Southampton to the London Stadium for roughly £30 million in the summer, Ward-Prowse has excelled for us. The 28-year-old has only made eight appearances for the Hammers but already has two goals and six assists to his credit.

After Declan Rice left to join Arsenal during the summer transfer window, the additions of Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez have significantly strengthened our club overall. JWP should utilise his set pieces to great effect against Newcastle tomorrow, enabling West Ham to secure what would be a crucial three points.
