The Ecuadorian midfielder has had trouble adjusting to life at Ibrox, but the BBC analyst believes he will “come into the reckoning” after speaking on the Scottish Football Podcast on Wednesday (20 September).
He asked Michael Beale to help the 24-year-old, who recently transferred from Los Angeles FC to the club, find the proper position in the Gers lineup.

“Cifuentes will come into the reckoning, there’s no doubt about it,” said Sky Sports pundit Miller. “I think he’s an animal in the middle of the pitch Cifuentes. He’s got great legs, it looks like he wants to burst forward as well, he looks like he could be a box-to-box player.
“So again, it’s about him settling and finding the right role in the team for him. That is Michael and his staff’s job, is to find the right way of playing for the players that you’ve actually got and that’s something, at this moment, I don’t think they have.”
Cifuentes’ summertime relocation from Los Angeles to Glasgow is a significant change in lifestyle, and it can’t be simple to adjust. Because of this, it’s possible that the midfielder needs a little more time to adjust to life in Scotland before having his performance expectations raised.
Beale hasn’t really given him a sustained run in the side or found the proper position for him to succeed in, despite the fact that he has displayed flashes of his potential.
