For their Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City may be missing five members of their first team

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has said that his team is “in trouble” as a result of the addition of Bernardo Silva to a growing list of injured players that already includes Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Jack Grealish, and Mateo Kovacic.

In the first half of City’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, Bernardo was taken out with an undisclosed leg injury, and Guardiola has stated that the playmaker will be out for “the next few weeks.”

Grealish has been spotted in training, but Guardiola has said the forward needs another seven to 10 days to heal from a knee injury. De Bruyne (hamstring) is not anticipated to return until the new year, and there is no timetable for Stones’ comeback from a muscle condition.

However, Kovacic might be able to play on Saturday after missing the previous two matches due to a back muscle problem. As a result, the midfielder might compete with fellow summer acquisition Matheus Nunes, who made his City debut against Red Star, for a spot next to star center-back Rodri.

Guardiola will be tempted to rotate his team in a few areas this weekend, and Josko Gvardiol will be looking to get back into the starting lineup in front of either Nathan Ake or Sergio Gomez, who started at left back for the first time this season against Red Star.

Due to Bernardo’s absence, Jeremy Doku is likely to start on the left flank while Phil Foden switches to the right. Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland, who combined for five goals in a 6-0 victory against Forest last season, are expected to stay in the attack.

Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Nunes, Foden, Alvarez, Doku, and Haaland might be Manchester City’s starting lineup.
