Tottenham currently thinks they can hold off rivals to capture Ange Postecoglou, who has his sights set on signing with them after Euro 2024.

Spurs have already begun to make moves in the market after Aston Villa rejected a £20 million offer for Jacob Ramsey, who plays number 41 for the Villains, along with Giovani Lo Celso.

Now, it’s reported that Tottenham is sure they can sign one of the top players in the Premier League this summer, regardless of how that transaction turns out.

Tottenham believe they can sign Ebere Eze

According to a report from The Times, Tottenham is certain that they will sign Crystal Palace’s No. 10 player, Ebere Eze.

Currently spending £100,000-per-week in Germany with the England squad for Euro 2024, Gareth Southgate has only allowed him to play 21 minutes.

Tottenham reportedly thinks they can wait out competition until Eze gets back to London, and the attacking midfielder’s £60 million release clause hasn’t deterred anyone from joining the team.

The Times further reports that Spurs intend to move quickly to finalize a deal with the Greenwich native after the 25-year-old’s role at Euro 2024 concludes, and they will do so whether or whether Aston Villa permits Ramsey to relocate to N17.

Eze had a great 2023–24 season with Crystal Palace in spite of multiple injuries, tallying 11 goals and dishing out four assists in 27 Premier League games.

The Eagles have already lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, and according to Give Me Sport, there is a greater likelihood that Eze’s close friend will depart Selhurst Park this summer as a result of the agreement.

£60m deal could take James Maddison to another level

Some may see this deal as a way of Ange Postecoglou replacing James Maddison, who also plays in attacking midfield – the England international missed out on Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad, having scored just once in his final 19 Premier League games last season.

However, we believe this deal could actually ignite a spark in the Tottenham No.10 next term.

The Coventry-born playmaker will undoubtedly have plenty of motivation if Eze also joins Tottenham, since Maddison was reportedly heartbroken to be left out by Southgate, with Eze essentially taking his place.
