With their new manager getting ready to shape and develop the club in his image, West Ham United will have a busy summer ahead of them.

David Moyes’ departure from the Hammers at the end of the season was just revealed.

Though the team is rumored to hold off on making an announcement until after Moyes steps down, Julen Lopetegui is anticipated to take over as West Ham’s manager.

This summer, West Ham may use some reinforcements, especially in attack where they are deficient in players.

According to a recent rumor from CaughtOffside, the Hammers are preparing a bid for a player who has already been connected to them multiple times.

The player in question is Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri and, according to the report, West Ham are preparing an offer worth €25million (around £22million) for him.

West Ham apparently consider En-Nesyri a potential long-term replacement for Michail Antonio, who turned 34 in March.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are reportedly also keen on the Morocco international, but not as much as the Hammers.

Although the Hammers have been linked with En-Nesyri many times before, there’s more optimism than ever that a deal could finally take place.

This is because Lopetegui, who is set to take the West Ham reins, has worked with the 26-year-old before.

The pair worked together at Sevilla between 2020 and 2022, during which time they won the 2020 Europa League.

And since En-contract Nesyri’s expires until 2025, this summer will be Sevilla’s last opportunity to get a fair price for him.

Frederic Kanoute, the cult hero of West Ham and Sevilla, is one of the people who have applauded the 2022 World Cup semifinalist.

When asked which African player excites him in 2020, Kanoute replied, “I would say En-Nesyri from Sevilla.” This was reported by Goal.com.

He is an intriguing player, in my opinion. Despite his height, he has great speed, agility, and height. He should score a lot of goals for Sevilla, hopefully.

Andalucia has been impressed with En-Nesyri. Let’s now see if, in the upcoming months, he decides to move from southern Spain to east London.
