when spending last season on loan with Reims, Ekitike joined PSG on a permanent basis when an obligation to buy option in his original loan agreement was exercised.

Despite signing a four-year deal with the French champions, Ekitike was linked with a move away from Paris before the summer transfer deadline.

While a departure did not occur, a recent report stated that the 21-year-old is set to quit the club in January after being judged surplus to requirements.

West Ham have forward alternatives such as Michail Antonio and Danny Ings, but they are eager to bring in reinforcements following Gianluca Scamacca’s exit.

Only one year after joining West Ham from Sassuolo, the 24-year-old made a permanent move to Atalanta last month.

The Hammers were unable to identify a suitable replacement for Scamacca and are now expected to sign a new striker in January.

Meanwhile, Palace are looking to bolster their midfield after Wilfried Zaha departed the club at the end of last season to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on a free transfer.

Roy Hodgson presently has Jordan Ayew, Odsonne Edouard, and Jean-Philippe Mateta at his disposal, but the latter has been heavily linked with a summer exit.
