Two changes Erik ten Hag superb Tactics to ahead of Burnley bout

For Manchester United, two players failed to perform on Wednesday and therefore they can’t start vs Burnley, here’s what we’d change.

It’s been a long and hard season for Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag‘s side struggling to develop any sort of quality on the pitch.

However against Sheffield United, the winless run was ended, and it came about through a change of emphasis, with United players seemingly more willing to be patient and hold onto the ball.

This gave Sheffield less opportunity to harm us on the break, but two goals were still conceded in the 4-2 win at Old Trafford.

The standout performer in the game was Bruno Fernandes who picked up the fan’s man of the match award for his display.

But two players simply didn’t do enough to justify a start on Saturday. Therefore they should be dropped, here’s what we’d do.

Amad Diallo must replace Antony

Ten Hag is starting to look ridiculous for his reluctance to throw Amad Diallo in from the start, considering he keeps raving about how the Ivory Coast international deserves minutes.

Instead, however, he’s somehow behind Antony in the pecking order despite the Brazilian being utterly atrocious for the best part of two years for United.

Against Sheffield however, should be the final straw. Any form he began to show with a goal against Liverpool and an assist against Chelsea is now gone and he’s back to normal.

Amad changes every game he comes into for United and makes a positive impact no matter the situation.

So it’s time to use him and give him a start at Old Trafford this Saturday, showing him he’s a future here as we guarantee he won’t let Ten Hag down like Antony consistently has.

Scott McTominay must start for United over Christian Eriksen

The second change we think needs to be made is taking Christian Eriksen out of the team and putting in Scott McTominay, assuming the Scot is fit.

McTominay is in the midst of an incredible season and is currently United’s third top scorer this season with 10 goals while also adding three assists.

He has rarely put in a bad performance this campaign and has proven himself to be an incredible asset to have in the squad.

Against Sheffield, Eriksen just wasn’t up to it and it’s clear that his legs are gone, which negates any positives he brings on the ball.

With McTominay, there’ll be a warrior in there who will do the dirty work while also being a bonafide goal threat.
