Prior to a challenging Spurs schedule, Ange Postecoglou has a serious new injury concern.
Spurs will be looking to move past their cruel loss to Newcastle as they compete for Champions League qualifying.
Spurs were completely humiliated by Eddie Howe’s team in a dismal 4-0 drubbing at St. James’ Park, and they now have a crucial stretch of games ahead of them in their intense battle for a top-four finish.
Due to the FA Cup semi-final schedule, Tottenham had a week off before playing their next London derby against Chelsea and traveling to Anfield to play Liverpool. On April 28, Tottenham will host Arsenal, one of their fiercest rivals.
Next month, Ange Postecoglou’s team will conclude the season with a difficult trip against Manchester City. Here are the most recent return dates and injury updates for Tottenham.
Pedro Porro
The most recent injury blow to Spurs came at Newcastle, where right-back Porro hobbled out early in the second half after seemingly twitching his hamstring.
“He felt something in the first half and he wanted to see how it went in the second half,” Postecoglou said of the Portuguese player following the match. We’ll see what the problem is, but I haven’t checked with the medical staff yet.
Tottenham will now evaluate the issue, and it is unclear if Porro will be let go in the future.
Richarlison
Richarlison was still out for Tottenham’s match against Newcastle, as Postecoglou stated prior to the match that he wished to give the Brazilian more time to heal from a knee issue that has troubled him since early March.
“Not this week,” replied Postecoglou. “He’s close, and next weekend’s holiday will definitely give him time to heal, and he’s on track to do that.”
If all goes according to plan, Richarlison ought to be included in the north London derby.

Manor Solomon
Solomon has not played since September in an injury-wrecked first season at Tottenham.
The Israel international underwent initial surgery on a knee problem but needed a further procedure in March and is currently working on his rehabilitation.
He is unlikely to return to action before the end of the season.

Ryan Sessegnon
Sessegnon has been plagued by hamstring injuries over recent seasons and needed another operation in February after being hurt again while on duty with the Tottenham Under-21s.
The versatile left-back had surgery on his left hamstring last year, while the most recent procedure was on his right hamstring.
It is hoped he will be able to avoid any recurring issues in future, though for now Sessegnon will surely not play again this term.
Potential return date: Summer 2024
Fraser Forster
Tottenham’s back-up goalkeeper sustained a foot fracture in training back in February and was ruled out for a couple of months at least.
Like Sessegnon and Solomon, Postecoglou said earlier in April that it was unlikely the former England international would be ready to play again this term as Brandon Austin instead serves as the chief deputy to No1 Guglielmo Vicario.
