West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta has “more lives than a cat,” according to BBC Sport pundit Matt Upson.

The Hammers star was found guilty of multiple fouls during Brazil’s match against England on Saturday, March 23.

After Endrick’s late winner, Brazil prevailed 1-0 in the international friendly at Wembley. On Tuesday, March 26, the Three Lions will play Belgium in another Wembley friendly.

According to BBC Sport, Upson stated on BBC Radio 5 Live (8.11 p.m., March 23) that “that was Lucas Pacqueta again on John Stones.” Though he has more lives than a cat, it’s a little awkward! They are simply repeated; none of them are serious infractions.

West Ham ace Lucas Paqueta pulls the strings versus England

Paqueta, shining once more for West Ham United this season, has now showcased his creative prowess on the international stage with Brazil. The midfielder, based in East London, had a short journey to Wembley for the clash against England. In the game, he nearly provided an early assist with a delicate through ball, but Vinicius Junior’s surprising miss denied him.

Additionally, Paqueta was unlucky to hit the woodwork and received a yellow card for a cynical foul in the first half, with some England players advocating for his dismissal for a similar offense shortly after.

But the referee kept his cards in his pocket on that occasion, with Paqueta certainly fond of a caution or two, as witnessed from his exciting spell in claret and blue so far.
