Due to their busy summer schedule, Crystal Palace may decide to sign free agents. Here are five potential candidates.

Oliver Glasner’s summer at Selhurst Park will be historic since there are a number of important positions that require attention.

Given the necessity of several acquisitions, it would seem to reason that Crystal Palace could find it easier with free signings.

With the arrival of several free signings, Dougie Freedman will also be able to stretch his budget even further.

These five players are possible free agents the Eagles sign this summer.

Daichi Kamada

The first player on this list is one that Glasner will know well from his time at Frankfurt as the pair won the UEFA Europa League together in 2022.

Daichi Kamada moved to Lazio after that, but things there haven’t exactly worked out for him. Nevertheless, it would be foolish of Palace to pass up the opportunity to get Kamada for free this summer.

As a 27-year-old attacking midfielder, the Japanese international may fit well in with Glasner’s squad. His goal is to build on his 179 appearances at Frankfurt, where he contributed 73 goals.

Lloyd Kelly

If Palace are to lose some of their defensive ranks this summer, significant reinforcements will be needed and Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly could be an excellent option for free.

A proven Premier League-level defender who has previously drawn interest from Liverpool, so he’d be an excellent addition for Glasner.

Kelly could really bolster the ranks if Marc Guehi is to depart and for free would mean Palace could save cash to strengthen elsewhere.

Alex Berenguer

Spanish winger Alex Berenguer is one player whom Palace has been connected to for a summer free transfer deal.

Given that he would be a free agent and has been having a respectable season, the Athletic Bilbao winger would be a wise addition.

Six goals and two assists in 26 appearances for the Spanish team this season is a respectable total given he has only played 43% of the minutes.

Certainly a player better suited to the bench, but a good option to reinforce the left side of the attack.

Juan Miranda

One position which could be on the cards for an upgrade is the left wing-back slot for Glasner’s side.

This summer, Freedman could sign Real Betis’ Juan Miranda for free which could be an excellent signing and leave the squad with two excellent left wing-backs to compete with each other.

Miranda will bring a lot of technical security to the left-back position and could better suit what Glasner will ask of the role than Tyrick Mitchell. A no-brainer.

Che Adams

Che Adams of Southampton, who has previously been connected to a move to Palace, is the last name on this list.

Despite spending this season in the Championship, Adams has a wealth of Premier League experience, which might make him a valuable addition up front this summer.

Despite his 10 goals in 30 games this season, Glasner will probably believe he can get Adams producing at a similar level back in the top flight.

Though not as glamorous as many would have us believe, this was nonetheless a good signing up front.
