Steve Parish, the chairman of Crystal Palace, and Oliver Glasner, the manager of the first team, will have their hands full keeping the South London team’s main players in place as the summer transfer window draws near.

With with 10 games remaining, the Eagles are mired in 14th place after Roy Hodgson’s 2023–24 season was nothing short of a disaster.

It’s unlikely to be good enough to satisfy the professional demands of players like Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise, and Marc Guehi, who may have bigger and better goals in addition to frequent international call-ups.

Eberechi Eze will have to wait to leave Crystal Palace

Parish and Glasner will both recognize that those three players might be a valuable asset to any Premier League squad.

It’s possible that players have determined that other opportunities await them and that Hodgson has already caused too much harm.

Journalist Graeme Bailey certainly thinks so.

“Eze is a truly fascinating individual. He told We Are Palace, “I think Eze might have to wait another summer to get out, but I can see he really is ready to go.”

“They are unable to sell the diamonds in their crown. Olise is probably the one that goes, although there would be a lot of curiosity if Eze wanted to go.

Although it seems inevitable that this outstanding Palace side will disintegrate soon, South Londoners may rest easy knowing that Glasner is one of the best players in the league, therefore the first team is in capable hands.

It is imperative that the club’s youth program keeps producing players of the highest caliber who can contribute to the senior team for many years to come.

Even while Selhurst Park has always been viewed as a selling club, if Palace can achieve a stable equilibrium under Glasner, it shouldn’t take long for Selhurst Park to gain recognition as a top football academy in the coming years.
