Many fans were miffed that Rangers’ scheduled Sunday, March 17 visit to Dundee had been postponed.

To the dismay of Gers manager Philippe Clement, the match at Den Park was postponed due to excessive rain, and a number of commentators criticized the mishap.

Since it was Dundee’s fourth postponed home game of the season, the SPFL subsequently announced that it will look into the matter.

Luckless Rangers supporter has tale of woe

But there was one supporter who had a particularly luckless outing, with the diehard Light Blues fan travelling nearly 500 miles from Wales with his young son, only for the game to get called off (Daily Record).

Rangers players did at least stop for some photos with the youngster but it was a hell of a trip to make only for it to be called off.

Fortunately, this unhappy story didn’t finish there. On Wednesday, the man posted on his X account, @_TF93, to share how Rhino Express & Pipeline Energy Solutions, Rangers partners, helped to make up for the “disaster” he had to endure.

“Dundee away take two is fully reserved. Huge you to Rhino Express & Pipeline Energy Solutions, Rangers partners, who contacted us and graciously paid for our accommodation and travel expenses following the tragedy on Sunday.

It is an extremely classy touch and one that will give good PR for the company and good PR for the club.

Although the travel proved to be lengthy and ultimately disappointing, the club’s partners have done a fantastic job supporting a supporter who is in need.

Bravo to all those that took part.
