After a season that saw record expenditure by Premier League teams, the summer transfer market is scheduled to close on Friday.

Deloitte’s analysis, which was released last week, revealed that the previous spending record of £1.92 billion, which was established last summer, has already been eclipsed, and that the $2 billion barrier is likely to be breached.

However, there is still work to be done! Here is all the information you require for Friday, the transfer deadline.

When does the window for transfers close?

The Premier League and EFL’s transfer window will conclude on Friday, September 1 at 23:00 BST, while Scotland’s window will expire at midnight.

In Europe, the transfer window for the Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and La Liga will all end at 17:00, 19:00, 22:00, and 23:00, respectively, although the window for the Women’s Super League will stay open until the 14th of September.

The Saudi Pro League’s transfer window, where some well-known Premier League players have relocated this summer, is scheduled to close on September 7.

Can a player who was signed on the final day of the transfer window play this weekend?

According to league regulations, new hires are qualified for the following Premier League match if the club submits the necessary paperwork by noon on the last working day before that game.

So, on the day of the deadline, any player registered after 12:00 BST would not be eligible to participate in this round of Premier League games.

On deadline day, where can I find a list of all the confirmed transfer deals?

When does the transfer window for January begin?

Clubs will once more be able to transfer players starting on January 1 and continuing through Thursday, February 1 at 23:00 BST.

What possible transfer agreements still exist?

Simon Stone, BBC Sport football reporter

However, not all transfer windows, such as those in Saudi Arabia and Turkey, end on Friday. As a result, deals can still be completed into the next month.

The greatest transaction of all would undoubtedly be Mohamed Salah heading to Saudi Arabia, both monetarily and in terms of what it would imply for his present team Liverpool.

Even while some question why Barcelona would let the Spain star leave if he were as excellent as it is being made up to be, if Brighton can sign Ansu Fati, it would be a fantastic victory for the forward-thinking south coast club.

While the two major Premier League teams to really keep an eye on are Manchester United and Tottenham, Barcelona should be able to get Joao Cancelo from Manchester City.

Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, wants a midfielder and also needs a left back. Sofyan Amrabat has been the major aim for the latter position, but they are unable to convince Fiorentina to approve a loan. Marc Cucurella had been mentioned for the former, but it now appears likely that Sergio Reguilon will leave Spurs.

For much of the summer, Harry Maguire appeared destined to depart Old Trafford, but given that they would need a replacement center-back and Raphael Varane is injured, it is unlikely that he will move now.

When it comes to Tottenham, Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga, Hugo Lloris, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Eric Dier are all unnecessary. Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest would be the key transfer for Spurs.
