The morale at Forest does seem pretty good at the moment even if the results haven’t been going in the team’s favour.

On Saturday it proved a heartbreaking defeat for the Reds and they will look to bounce back quickly.

One player who was in fine form was Omobamidele and the Forest defender produced a really strong performance.

Now, Toffolo – who also started at the weekend – has taken to Instagram to post three words to Omobamidele on social media.

The player signed from Huddersfield posted, ‘What a player’, with the 21-year-old posting some action shots from the weekend.

Omobamidele can be a Forest star in the future

Andrew Omobamidele: It's not like I'm thinking 'I'm here now'

It took a long time for the young defender to get himself into the reckoning at Forest – but boy has he grasped his chance.

This performance against Liverpool really showcased what he was capable of and the future looks bright at 21.

Omobamidele cost Forest just £11 million and he looks like a sound investment in the future.

The defender is perhaps still a little bit raw and if every defender is fit, he perhaps wouldn’t be the first choice.

However, he’s taken his chances so far with aplomb and in our view, he’s given Nuno Espirito Santo a serious headache with his performances of late.

Omobamidele hasn’t come to Forest to play second fiddle and he will hope he gets more opportunities to try and cement his place in the starting eleven.
