With star defender Destiny Udogie back to full training, Tottenham Hotspur have received a much-needed boost ahead of their next match against Crystal Palace.

The left-back has returned from a slight injury that kept him and Pedro Porro out of their most recent game.

A late fitness test will determine Porro’s availability, but Udogie’s preparation indicates he may play in the game this coming weekend.

Udogie appears to be making good recovery progress, as evidenced by the photo of him back in training posted by Tottenham’s official X account.

Ange Postecoglou felt the absence of both full-backs during the 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

The defeat saw Spurs slip to 5th in the Premier League table, with Aston Villa seizing the 4th spot after successive victories over Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

Currently trailing Aston Villa by 5 points, Tottenham hold a game in hand, providing them with an opportunity to close the gap in the race for a top-four finish.

Unlike Villa, who are also competing in the UEFA Europa Conference League, Spurs have the advantage of focusing solely on league fixtures.

However, with the competition for Champions League qualification heating up, Tottenham cannot afford any more slip-ups.

The return of Udogie and the potential inclusion of Porro could provide a significant boost as they aim to secure a win against Crystal Palace and keep their Champions League hopes alive.
