Manager Phil Parkinson has rejected the notion that Wrexham receives special treatment from referees, following comments made by MK Dons boss Mike Williamson. Williamson suggested that Wrexham benefited from questionable decisions during their recent match.

Parkinson countered these claims, stating, “I really don’t think we get any preferential treatment, I don’t see that at all.” He acknowledged that there have been contentious decisions, but believes they balance out over the season.

The match in question saw both teams finish with 10 men, but Williamson was particularly aggrieved by a disallowed goal for MK Dons, where Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo appeared to fumble the ball over the line.

Despite this incident, Parkinson highlighted other moments where he felt his team had been hard done by, including a potential red card and penalty decision that were not given in their favor.
